1850-51 12c Black on pale blue, “2” of “12” with straight foot, Townsend Type C, with initials EDW of postal official Wight, good colour, cut round with good margins almost all around, top left touched frame and tiny tear, centrally cancelled with central DEMERARA AP2 1851 circular datestamp, still a great example of this rare variety, cert. BPA (SG £25’000)Provenance : Stanley Gibbons (2007)
