1840 (5 August) Folded entire letter from Demerara to London, double-arc DEMERARA AU5 1840 despatach backstamp, erroneously taxed at the old rate of 2/2 for half an ounce (the rate was reduced to 1/ for half an ounce on May 6th, 1840)
